The official campaign arm of House Democrats spread fake news in a fundraising blast about former special counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony on Wednesday.

The Daily Caller reports the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) falsely claimed that Mueller testified that he would charge President Trump with obstruction of justice if he weren’t president.

That, based on a response to Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu, during a morning session.

However, Mueller corrected the record when he began his afternoon testimony saying “we did not reach a determination as to whether the president committed a crime.”

Still, the DCCC, which has a track record of using misinformation in fundraising emails, sent out the email anyway.
