Ocasio-Cortez Demands 100% Renewable Energy in 10 Years

U.S. Representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is demanding that the U.S. commit to shifting 100% of its energy consumption to renewable energy in ten years as part of a “Green New Deal.”
Breitbart reports the self-described “democratic socialist” on Thursday called on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to back her demand for 100% renewable energy in exchange for her support of Pelosi as the Speaker of the House.
Ocasio-Cortez joined a sit-in of left-wing activists at Pelosi’s office on Tuesday, warning Miami and New York could be “underwater.”
She claimed that the U.S. has “10 years left to plan and implement a Green New Deal before cataclysmic climate disaster.”
