Legendary comedian and actor Tim Conway experienced quite the adverse reaction following several shots in a hilarious skit from The Carol Burnett Show. Most people dont enjoy visiting the doctor. Those visits to medical professionals become even more dreaded when those stops include shots. While shots and vaccines are necessary to keep us safe and healthy, who enjoys being stuck with a needle? No one, thats the answer. However, Tim, in a hysterical skit, doesnt mind shots all that much. Tim appears in the sketch alongside Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman as a couple of doctors celebrating at a restaurant. At times, it almost seemed to be a competition between them to see who could get the other to break character first. Im going to say that Tim was likely the winner of those possible competitions. Theres not much more annoying than getting a call from a number you dont recognize and who then does not leave a voicemail. This leads to all kinds of questions. Who was the person on the other end? Was it simply a wrong number? Or was it someone who intended to call you? If they did mean to call you, why didnt they leave a voicemail stating their reasoning for calling? Who calls instead of texts anyway? This is likely a string of questions that have gone through everyones mind at one time or another. Errant and unanswered phone calls are one way that shows how the human mind works. The mind can go to some crazy places and come up with some weird thoughts at times. A clip posted on YouTube hilariously demonstrates how much damage a call from a wrong number can do, especially for a married couple. In the sketch, Tim and Carol play a married couple who receive a call in the middle of the night from a wrong number. As Carols mind begins to race and think about the mysterious caller, things go from bad to worse. Carol starts to put together this idea in her mind that the phone call was all part of some elaborate plan cooked up by her beloved husband. However, by the end of the clip, Carols initial thoughts and feelings about the call in the middle of the night may not be as crazy as everyone thought. Its the primary motivating factor why people go to work Monday through Friday. As much as we may like our jobs, the odds are that we wouldnt keep showing up if it werent for that weekly or bi-weekly paycheck. Money in and of itself is not a bad thing. In fact, money can do a lot of good in the world. It can pay for a much-needed operation, clothe and feed someone who desperately needs help or put a young person through college. But sometimes, the love of and the excessive desire for money can damage, destroy and strain relationships. Jeanne Robertson was an American humorist, motivational speaker, athlete, teacher, YouTube personality, and Miss North Carolina from 1963. She sadly passed away in 2021 at the age of 77, but her humor and videos live on. In this YouTube video, we get to hear a funny story about the time she was an MC at a small-town beauty pageant in Alabama. One of the young contestants happened to be from Long Island or a city close to it. And she had a pretty thick accent. Jeanne gives the audience an example, and then talks about how the young contestant was concerned the audience would laugh at her because of it. Jeanne says that she told her, I hadnt noticed it, and the audience burst into laughter. The girls talent was going to be tap dancing like the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes, which would come up later in her story. Jeanne tells us about Elmo, the man who ran the audio, which at the time meant he had to change out the records based on each contestant. She talks about how the audience didnt laugh at the girl when she came out and talked about herself for the first time. Then she goes on to talk about a few of the other contestants and what they did for their talents. One jumped on a trampoline, another lifted weights to classical music, and a third packed a suitcase. And still, the audience did not lose it. It was time for the Northern girl to start her talent, tap dancing. Only, when the music started playing Elmo had it on the wrong setting and it was set at a very fast tempo. The girl went with it and started tap dancing very fast. However, when Elmo tried to fix his mistake, the tempo became very slow and the girl started dancing slowly to match it. Then, the record got stuck and kept repeating itself with the lyric, warm. The girl just went with it and the audience started doing it along with her. Jeanne made the audience laugh once again by acting out the dancing. Jeanne has a way of telling a story. She is engaging and makes the audience laugh, no matter what she seems to be talking about. One couple had a painting session, and things soon took a comical direction, ending with unexpected results. Date night is necessary for all couples, especially those who have been together for a while. Its important to get out and partake in an activity together without the kids, at least for a couple of hours each time. Those activities or outings could be anything and everything. Some people may enjoy hiking, rock climbing or maybe even skydiving together. Others may prefer dinner and a movie. The activity doesnt really matter as long as the couple is doing it together, reconnecting and enjoying each others company. A clip posted on YouTube shows that one couple decided to get creative, adding paint, paint brushes and canvases. For their date night, they painted one another. Of course, in theory, this sounds like a fun, brand-new activity to do with relatively little effort. However, it didnt exactly turn out as the couple thought. The short, 2-minute video is shot from the wifes point of view. Viewers immediately see her work of art. Its a picture shes painted of her husband. Its not going to give Picasso, Rembrandt or Monet a run for their money, but its still a more than adequate piece of art. The wife has some natural talent when it comes to putting paint on canvas. Nevertheless, her husband is still pretty critical of her work, suggesting places where she could improve. He says, with a laugh, she made him look a little elf-ish. Then, its time for the husband to reveal his work, which is supposed to be of his wife. When the big moment arrives, neither of them can keep it together. The best way to describe the husbands painting is that he tried. You never want to be critical of someone, but its clear his wifes painting was much better. Again, its not about the results (thankfully) but that both enjoyed one anothers company and shared tons of laughs viewing and critiquing their masterpieces. Enjoying the great outdoors is a fun, worthwhile activity and something we should all probably do more. Its an opportunity to appreciate the Lords wondrous and magnificent creation. Of course, though, some are more outdoorsy than others. While some people may enjoy spending more time indoors, others prefer grabbing and packing a few essentials for a camping outing. Sleeping underneath the stars, taking in that majestic and awe-inspiring sight will remind you of Gods power, might and artistry. Only an artist could create something so beautiful. But before heading out on that camping trip, packing a sleeping bag is a must. As much as someone may enjoy the great outdoors, Id venture to guess that not many people want to get their eight hours while laying on dirt, mud and leaves. In a clip posted on Instagram, Jennifer experiences a situation that likely every single person alive has experienced. She attempts to pack up a sleeping bag. She wrestles with the unruly sleeping bag, and for most of the video, does not have much luck. At one point, after several failed attempts to pack up the sleeping bag, she states how she is experiencing a test. Oh, why does the Lord test me in these ways? a frustrated Jennifer says. Eventually, after several more failed attempts, Jennifer ties back her hair, placing it in a ponytail and removes the sweater shes wearing. She is determined to defeat her nemesis. Im not giving up, Jennifer says. Im not. Jennifers persistence pays off, and she gets the sleeping bag back into its minuscule container. Yes, she says emphatically and does a celebratory dance. Jennifer may have won this battle, but sadly, we all know the war between sleeping bags and humans will go on for years to come. One father really got into character while playing with his daughter and delivered some hilarious one-liners and responses to his child. Children are only little and entirely dependent on Mom and Dad for a limited time. Blink, and youre likely to miss a special moment or memory. Childhood is a phase in a childs life that goes by way too fast, especially for the mother and father. Sure, children may be tiring and can get on your last nerve. But most parents would likely give anything to go back to when their children were little and still living at home. Thats why taking every opportunity to engage and be with your children is so important. Once that time is gone, its gone, and its never coming back, sadly. One dad made the most of the opportunity when he got to play restaurant with his daughter. His little girl was a customer at a restaurant in which she had to walk up to order her meal. The youngsters father was the individual working at the fast-food joint. The father got so into the role that he even donned a towel on his head, wore a makeshift microphone and sported fake nails. What happened next was hilarious as the father demonstrated excellent comedic timing and a lightning-fast wit. The short but hysterical clip starts with the little kid approaching the window seeking to obtain a burger. Her father abruptly responds that they are sold out of burgers and shuts the window in her face. However, the little girl is determined to get something to eat. She then asks her father for ice cream. Ice cream broke as my ex, the dad tells the little girl. The child must be terribly hungry because then she attempts to secure breakfast. But that doesnt go well either. Her father informs her that they are fresh out of eggs and cheese and that breakfast is over in a matter of minutes. Working from home, like everything else, has its advantages and disadvantages. But one of the biggest advantages of working from a remote, home office is the space it allows people. No one has to work right on top of one another because coworkers are literally spread out around the country and maybe even around the world. In a clip posted on YouTube, Carol, Tim and Harvey demonstrate in the most hysterical way possible the issues with trying to fit too many people in a small, tight working area. But those three arent the only members of the talented Carol Burnett Show cast who make an appearance in the sketch, all get involved. Vicki Lawrence pops in and out of the office, playing the boss. The sketch begins with Carol and Harvey arriving at the beginning of their workday. But seconds after their arrival, something is off about this situation. Teaching is an important and noble profession. The men and women who work in education are literally teaching the next generation. But as most people understand, trying to reach and teach children anything is not an easy task. Most kids have small, minute attention spans and a need to get up and move around and explore their surroundings. Comedian Mike James has been married for 35 years. In this video, he talks and laughs about the secret to his marriage and the game he and his wife play that he never wins. Mike makes a joke about how he is not sure what the secret of marriage is but that he has never been divorced and that it looks like too much paperwork. He talks about how when he was first married he was deployed a lot with the military, and now he is on the road as a comedian. He and his wife have to have a lot of quality time together to make things work as they dont have a lot of time together. They have date nights, such as going out for dinner.
