This powerful sculpture of Jesus on the cross was designed and made by Christchurch retired engineer Michael Tester. Michael was also the designer and moving force behind the Halswell Cross, a public art installation that is erected at Christchurch's Halswell Quarry Park each Easter. The Cross

Ben came from China into the lives of those who loved him and showed us all true, unconditional love through his parents, extended family and the heart of the Christian community. Ben, save us a place!

We oppose government-approved infanticide in the guise of law. Roe v. Wade (1973) is no less abhorrent to our moral conscience than the Dredd Scott Supreme Court decision that was overturned by Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka (1954). We pray and hope abortionists will come to their senses and remove the veil of callous profiteering from their hearts. Human babies need to be restored to their rightful place, above lower beasts, and unto loving relationships that glorify God's image and likeness in us. Liberals are overzealous in animal advocacy but have no compassion in their hearts for Human babies. That is an abomination in the sight of God. And we pray for their repentance from the scourge of abortion which grieves the heart of God and brings condemnation to Humanity. God condemns this abomination: Valuing animals over Human Beings!

Those who see with their minds and understand with their hearts, know, with a witnessing of their eyes and ears, the self-evident truths that their God-indwelled spirit must honor on the earth, in order "to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity." Our priorities ought to be ordered as God commands.
