We sing the great hymns of the Christian faith from the original Trinity Hymnal of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Pastor MacLaren's sermon is "Coming of Age." This service was recorded on January 4, 2015. First Church is a member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The Rev. R. Scott MacLaren is the pastor. The boyhood of Jesus is largely passed over in silence by the gospels, but Luke does have one very significant event in the life of Jesus that he records for our instruction. It is the story of Jesus' appearance at the Temple when he was 12 years old, a time when boys took on adult responsibilities.
