Northwestern Outdoors Radio

John Kruse is founder, host and producer of Northwestern Outdoors Radio, an hour long show covering the outdoors beat in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. The show is currently heard on 50 stations in these four states and is one of the five most widely distributed outdoors radio shows in the nation.

The Sound of The Pacific Northwest

About Pedro & Luciana Bartes Luciana and Pedro Bartes are a married team who have been in the Seattle area airwaves for more than 25 years. They started at the turn of the century doing a show from 2 to 6 am on 89.9 FM KGRG, what used to be Green River College student-run radio station. They then hosted shows on Salem Media Seattle’s Spanish station, Radio Sol for a couple of years. After that, they moved on to produce radio shows in English, like Radio-Hall-of-Famer “The Bob Rivers Show” for 8 years, and “The Marty and Jodi Show” for 6. For 6 years, they were also the hosts of iHeat Media’s Public Affairs Show which aired in 7 radio stations. In 2023 they started hosting another show together, “The Sound of the Puget Sound,” for Salem Media Seattle. In August 2025, the program changed its name to “The Sound of the Pacific Northwest” and started airing in Salem Media Portland as well.
